Grand Opening of 9th Beijing Anding Mulberry Festival
The Grand Opening Ceremony of the 9th Beijing Anding Mulberry Festival was taken place at Royal Ancient Mulberry Park, Anding Town last week. The ceremony was attended by majority of the representatives of Daxing District.
Beijing Anding Mulberry Festival has been carried out for the past eight years. During this festival, the park will successfully attract huge number of visitors to visit the park and enjoy the fun of mulberry-picking. Moreover, as a result of the festival, Anding Town also won its beautiful name as the Hometown of Mulberry in Beijing. Therefore, it has stimulated the economical and social development of the Anding Town as well as some other adjacent villages.
The 9th Beijing Anding Mulberry Festival begins on June 2, and last for one month. It is hoped that through the mulberry festival, the cultural relics as well as the local tourism can be promoted. The major activity of the mulberry festival this year is focused on mulberry-picking activity.
